How Section 31aa funding works
Section 31aa of Michigan’s State School Aid Act gives schools per-pupil funding for student safety and for mental health. It is not competitive: every eligible school that applies receives funding. Public districts, charter schools, intermediate school districts and nonpublic schools can all apply, once, in one of four windows during the school year.
